Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the official opening of House of Arts at Expo City Dubai, marking a significant milestone in the city's cultural landscape. Launched as a new multidisciplinary space, House of Arts is dedicated to showcasing artistic voices from the UAE, the GCC, and the wider Arab world, while making art accessible to all.
Housed in the former Morocco Pavilion, an award-winning building recently nominated for the Aga Khan Award, the venue spans seven floors of exhibition, workshop, and programming spaces. Its inaugural exhibition, Interwoven, features works by 18 regional artists and explores heritage and contemporary expression, with a strong focus on reinterpreting traditional crafts such as Sadu weaving. The opening highlighted the strategic partnership between Dubai Culture and Expo City Dubai, reinforcing their shared commitment to cultural exchange, heritage preservation, and strengthening Dubai's position as a global hub for creativity and innovation.
