About



Ahmad Al Ajmi is an architectural scholar and a second-year master of Architecture candidate at Yale University. His research investigates post-20th-century forms of aid and philanthropic work within the Kuwaiti aid paradigm. Al Ajmi holds a Bachelor of Architecture from California College of the Arts, where he served as President of the American Institute of Architecture Students AIAS. He previously worked at Studio Nesef, an architectural firm in Kuwait, and held an artist residency at Sadu House, a cultural and artistic center in Kuwait City. His work has been featured in Dezeen, Kuwait Magazine, and Yale Paprika and showcased internationally at venues such as Expo 2020 Dubai, Yale’s North Gallery, and exhibitions across Kuwait and San Francisco, CA. Currently, his research focuses on themes of transiency, informality, and cultural resilience, critically examining contemporary humanitarian spatial practices and their interactions with host communities and the built environment.



أحمد العجمي معماري وطالب ماجستير في جامعة ييل. مهتم بحثه في أشكال المساعدات والأعمال الإغاثية تحديدا في الشريط الأوسط من القارة الأفريقية في فترة ما بعد القرن العشرين ضمن نموذج المساعدات الكويتية. حصل على درجة البكالوريوس في العمارة من كلية كاليفورنيا للفنون، حيث شغل منصب رئيس المعهد الأمريكي لطلبة العمارة. عمل العجمي سابقًا  في ستديو نصف، وكفنان مقيم في بيت السدو. يركز بحثه حاليًا على موضوعات الإنتقال والمرونة الثقافية، ويفحص من خلالها بشكل دقيق الممارسات المكانية الإنسانية المعاصرة وتفاعلاتها مع المجتمعات المضيفة والبيئة المحيطة
